Boasting a wide range of accessories, an attractive model and two superb minifigures one with the rare white plumestands out as one of the most memorable sets of the late s, and will always have a place in my brick-built heart.

Everybody loves my “forest” Unfortunately, there’s no room for the River Fortress. Very simplistic when compared to today’s sets, but they’re just gorgeous in that simplicity.
It looks just great. This is one of the first sets I ever got when I was a child, I love the forestmen instfuctions well and think its a great little set, your review has inspired me to find the instructions online original are long lost and rebuild this: Accessories The many accessories in nistructions set – 2 spears, a flag, archery butt, barrel and two “gold” nuggetsa sword, a bow and a quiver But let’s not forget those wonderful printed shields!
I remember 66054 the orange colour used during this period for medieval sets’ building instructions. I want to buy more of the instductions castle and forget about the new stuff. Thanks for posting this great review. Probably lost when splitting our cousin and mine LEGO last year.
Nice review, the one thing that I loved about looking at the images of this one is that it made me warp back to when i was around 12 years old and seeing these sets in the stores.
But even looking back I still miss those sets even without all of the details. Next up is Camouflaged Outpost! This is a neat little set and those forestmen shields are my favorite! Posted June 18, I think it would have been better in the Kingdoms target Practice set than the pieces used for the target. This makes me wish I owned more than just a Forestman minifigure.
